Clinic Explanation:
Frenectomy is excision of the frenula. Frenula consist of a mucosal fold in the labial, buccal and occasionally the lingual surface of the alveolar ridge. Their high attachment may cause diastima, poor retention of denture, gingival recession & inflammation and tongue tied in ligual frenum etc.

Operation procedure:
Spray or topical anesthesia applied to the frenum, in the event the patient still experience pain a local anesthesia may be administered.
Connecting surgery handpiece with device, starting laser and setting the parameters (4W, pulse mode etc)
Wearing a laser safety goggle, focusing on the frenula and cutting it directly.
Advantage:
Reduce bleeding and pain, no sewing and not distinguished scar.
